The role is based out of Thailand.
The purpose of the Personnel Assistant role is to provide organization and support to GFM’s Thailand HUB Director for the purpose of mobilizing and training Christ’s church to Great Commission obedience. The major component of GFM’s ministry includes recruiting and training dedicated Christians who feel the Call toward serving in Kingdom Ministry somewhere in the world. Thus human resource considerations are critical to the HUB’s successful operations. This position contributes to the HUB’s success through efficient information flow, record maintenance, action-plan monitoring and inter-personal communication. This position is structured as a full time role and based in Bangkok Thailand, but for a Candidate with strong qualifications, working REMOTELY and PART-TIME is available for consideration. Support raising is required.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Keep the HUB Organization Chart up to date
- Work with HR and Hub Director to develop all JDs and promote the positions on various sites
- Respond quickly and appropriately to people inquiring about staffing opportunities with GFM
- Review all staff applications and perform initial interviews for all potential staff members
- Work with HR to oversee onboarding checklists for all staff
- Oversee Sales Force database including record of interaction with staff applicant contacts
- Work with all Point Persons to develop effective Lifelong learning checklists for staff members
- Work with the Hub Director to find ways to increase staff retention rates
- Work with Point Persons making sure all staff have good accountability and counseling options
- Be familiar with staff needs and stay informed of opportunities within GFM
- Support the development and implementation of GFM’s vision by coordinating interdepartmental and inter-organizational communication
- Coordinate, as requested, multiple schedules and agendas
- Attend meetings, take minutes, track action items and follow up, as assigned
- Represent GFM through appropriate correspondence with current and potential donors
- Handle travel logistics for the HUB including airline, hotel, visas and appointments
- Use of social media to create additional awareness of GFM’s ministries and opportunities
- In conjunction with the Atlanta Support HUB, coordinate the hiring process, job description listings, sourcing candidates, performing background checks and issuing offer letters etc.
- Assist HUB Leadership in coordinating training sessions and seminars for HUB staff
- ON-boarding - Coordinate orientation sessions and updating records for new staff members
- OFF-boarding - Coordinate exit interviews, updating and maintaining accurate H.R. records
Specific Tasks
- Submit background checks for potential students and interns
- Keep office and storage area organized and order supplies, as needed
- Send thank you notes to general supporters
- MTS admin prep for each semester – correspondence with students, creating binders, printing documents, etc.
- Oversee postal needs – pick up and drop mail, sort and deliver to staff members
- Respond to volunteer and general inquiries from website
- STM - assist with general admin and scheduling such as receiving participant forms, making hotel reservations, posting payments in Salesforce, emailing post trip evaluations, collecting and assessing data
Required Ministry-Related Qualifications
- Must personally embrace GFM’s purpose, vision, values, and statement of faith
- Must identify as a maturing believer in Jesus Christ with a high view of Scripture (2 Tim 3:16-17; Col 3:16-17)
- Must demonstrate humility, teachability, and an ability to work well with others (Eph 4:15)
- Must display advanced interpersonal relational skills and be dedicated to peacemaking (Heb 10:24-25)
- Must function well both independently and in a team environment (1 Cor 12:25-26)
- Will have a servant’s heart and a calling to administratively support GFM staff
- Bible & theology – Needs to have a broad knowledge and understanding of God’s word and how to apply it to life as well as a solid foundation of the essential Biblical doctrines
- Missiology – A growing Biblical theology of Missions, defined by a scripturally based understanding of God’s purposes and actions in both the Old and New Testaments
- Non-Profit organization – Needs to have a basic knowledge of what a mission organization does and how it serves the Church in the Great Commission task

Physical and Other Requirements
- Operate office equipment in order to send and receive information with necessary optical, auditory and manual dexterity (copier, scanner, etc.)
- Use a keyboard and mouse to enter, retrieve or transfer words or data
- Work for extended periods of time at a computer, requiring the ability to read/comprehend information on a computer screen, typing skill to enter information and/or move from screen to screen on the computer to view information
- Perform basic mathematical calculations
- Display the reading skills necessary to proofread written materials
